Brutus is a 2 year old English Coonhound
who was abandoned at a kill shelter and is waiting in Michigan for his forever home. He is currently looking for his forever home, and would make a great
companion to someone looking for a new best friend. His name may be
Brutus, but his foster mom calls him "Broots" because he's not a brute at all! Let me tell you about a few of my favorite things. He loves to run and wrestle with his two foster sister coonhounds outside in the backyard, and at the dog park. Broots will do anything for liverwurst, and is always willing to tackle kongs filled with peanut butter. He is a happy-go-lucky boy when his foster mom takes him for a walk on a leash; he doesn't pull or drag her around, but may about it when he sees cats (can't stand 'em) or raccoons at night. Broots quickly learned how to sit, wait, off, and come running for biscuits when his foster mom calls his name. He improves daily with cratetraining and housetraining and is very close to being reliable. He likes to make nests in the blankets on the bed to curl up and sleep next to his foster mom and foster sisters. His ideal forever family would give him lots of peanut butter, fluffy blankets, no cats, a fenced yard for running and jumping, and do more obedience training since he really seems to enjoy the work.
