Cara is a 5 year old female who was surrendered by her owner to a Virginia kill shelter. She was suffering from a long-standing flea allergy that had led to a skin infection and severe yeast infection. The poor girl had been so itchy for so long that she had chewed her pads to the point she could hardly walk and had lost a lot of her coat. Those days are behind her now and she is thriving in her Virginia foster home; it's amazing what good food and medication will do! Cara gets along well with other dogs and is loving and affectionate with the people in her foster home. She is a real cuddlebug with both people and other dogs. Cara is housebroken and ignores the cat.
