I adopted Jackson a year ago and he's doing great!
He's such a great dog; I can't imagine life without him! He is healthy, happy and has a terrific temperament.
I read somewhere to be ready to meet people if you own a black and tan coonhound, and it's so true - the most common question is "What kind of dog is that?? Rottweiller? Doberman?" and then they hear his signature howl and know, at the very least, that he's a HOUND dog!
He's very well behaved, is a fast learner and listens very well (for the most part... let's be real, most dogs have their moments). I continue to search for ways to keep his 'barking greetings' to a minimum. This is an ongoing challenge as that is how he says "hello!"
He loves people in general, but he especially loves my nephews, my next door neighbor and my parents. (All I have to say is "let's go to grammy's" and he goes right to the door of my car - he loves car rides too).
I am so glad I opted to adopt an adult dog and added Jackson to my family.
