LIBBY

Here are a couple of recent pictures of Libby and Alvin, formerly "Blame it on Alvin."

When Mike and I lost our old dog, Elvis, Libby was despondent. We were, too, so we made a trip to Willcox, AZ to find her a friend. Alvin is now her best friend. They play together in a way Libby has not been able to before. Elvis was old, three-legged, fragile and grouchy. Alvin is young, four-legged and a ball of fire. They get along very well and have fun playing tug of war with their toys and chasing lizards and an occasional bunny the yard. Libby is just about 4 years old now and is really good at following the rules. Alvin is trying. He has the cutest face ever!

Thanks to everyone who helped rescue them and bring them home to New Mexico.

Libby is now living in New Mexico. She is very happy here. We go walking in town or hiking in the Sandias most days. She is so gentle with my old dog Elvis and the cats. Her manners improve almost every day. She loves to play with her squeak toys. We think she may be trying to communicate with us via Morse code. Everyone who meets her falls in love with coonhounds. She is a walking billboard for the hounds!

Thanks for saving her for us.

We were going to rename Libby but it is the perfect name for her. She is adjusting nicely to her new home. She is gentle with my elderly dog, Elvis, and doesn't bother the cats a bit. In fact, our 19 lb. male cat bosses her around! She is very ladylike in the house and loves to run in the yard. She is very gentle with the 3 year old daughter of my friends. She tears up and down the fence with the neighbor's puppy. It is quite a sight. She loves to toss her toy monkey around and catch it. She is a sweet, sweet girl. Here are some pictures of her and Elvis.

Thanks for saving her for us.
