Our Maggie May will surely steal your heart. This 5 year old coonhound was surrendered by her owners who had made an appointment to have her put to sleep because of a large fatty tumor on her abdomen. They allowed the mass to grow and grow and finally ulcerate before they took her back to the vet. They were then told that it absolutely HAD to be removed. Instead, they decided to put her to sleep. Rescue was called and agreed to help. So now Maggie May is happy as can be in her Virginia foster home and has had the benign tumor removed without complication. She gets along fine with other dogs, ignores the cat and really just wants to be with her people.
