McGruff is a 3 year old Bloodhound boy waiting in Glendale for his new home. He weighs approximately 90 lbs and is a big ball of energy as one would expect of a 3 year old. He loves to play with his people and would love an active adopter to take him out on bike rides (he has been trained to clip to the bike and run beside it, his favorite past time), out to lakes or creeks, or any other activity that will include him. He is very smart and knows many commands, such as "sit," "come," and "down." McGruff is eager to learn and eager to please and being very food motivated makes training with him a dream. It is entirely possible that he could be trained in some type of SAR. McGruff is good with children, but any potential adopter may want to have older children, or none, just because McGruff does not realize his size and strength. He is housetrained and eats and sleeps in his crate. He is great with livestock (ducks, chickens, etc.), but cats are a question mark. He would do well as an only dog or as a member of a pack with a strong human alpha.
