It's been about ten years since we adopted Copper, a Redbone coonhound from your organization from a foster home in WV. Sadly, we put Copper down on November 26.

I need to say Thank You. We had a great 10 year run with Copper, and he has been the best dog we have had in our family. As sad as it was to have him leave us, the years of unconditional love that he gave, and we returned, was the joy. The hard part was watching his body going south, but to the very end, that tail was a waggin', and that sparkle in his eyes remained until his eyes closed for the final time.

Thanks again for the joy that Copper brought into our lives. It feels right saying so with the holiday tomorrow. While we may be feeling down due to the loss, we are thankful for what we had.
