AB&TC MEMORIAL - LEON

We are sad to say that our wonderful, handsome, loving Leon departed this world on September 29. Leon was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the lower jaw in early March 2014. After surgery, he responded well to chemotherapy and for eighteen months never really was aware he was fighting a battle with cancer until the final weeks of his life.

When we first met Leon, we described him as an “old soul” because he was so intelligent and so secure with himself and his world of doggyness. He became our best “buddy-bud” in the eight-and-a-half years we were privileged to share our lives with him. We loved him so very much, and he loved his family. Leon loved his walks, his yard and sitting in front of a warm fireplace during the cold of winter. And he loved the sun - wherever there was a patch of sun, Leon would find it and bask in it. He loved back scratches, car rides and welcoming us home after work. The last year-and-a-half he loved all those yummy pill pockets, too!

Leon was special and he knew it and we knew it. We will always remember him as the most handsomest boy dog in all of the world, because of course, to us he was.
