Nickolaus is a 1 year old Redbone boy waiting in Virginia for his forever home. He was picked up as a stray and is now in good weight at 65 lbs. Nick gets along fine with other dogs but NO cats, please. Because of his size and puppy energy, he would do better with older children. Nick rides well in a car, is cratetrained and doing very well with housetraining. He will often nap in the open crate and lets his foster mom know when he needs to go outside. He would do best with an active family with a fenced yard and perhaps a doggie playmate. Nickolaus is learning basic commands and has nice house manners; he knows "sit" and "shake" and is working on "stay." He is proving to be very smart and trainable. This a super-sweet boy who loves ear rubs, car rides, hanging out with his people and playing in the snow.
