Tex is a 3 1/2 year old Black and Tan Coonhound waiting in Flagstaff for a new home. He is a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate boy that loves being outdoors. He bonds closely with his people and does best with structure and consistency. Tex has worked with a trainer and has excellent recall and good house manners. He has a good foundation and is looking for a home that will continue to reinforce his training. He enjoys walks, sniffing, and outdoor time. Tex is cratetrained, too. He is best suited for a home without children. Tex gets along with other large dogs; NO cats or small dogs. Tex would thrive with an experienced dog owner who can manage his resource guarding of food or other high-value items.
