Velvet is a gorgeous 2 year old Black and Tan Coonhound sweetheart waiting in Athens for a new home after being picked up as a stray. She has endless kisses to give and loves to snuggle beside her people on the couch. Velvet is playful with dogs that are good with rough play. She also enjoys playing with the elementary school aged children in her foster home; she did well playing more gently with them. She even jumps on the trampoline with the kids! NO cats or small animals, please, and small dogs are an individual determination. Velvet is housetrained and is great about going into her crate when her foster parents leave for work and doesn't show any anxiety. She knows some basic commands like "sit." In good weight at 55 lbs, Velvet rides great in the car.
