Winston is a 2 year old Black and Tan Coonhound boy that is ready for his new home after being picked up as a stray. In good weight at 65 lbs, this sweetheart is full of love to give his new family. Winston is incredibly sweet, gentle, and happiest when he's close to his people; if he had to choose between playing with the resident dog or cuddling with his humans, he'd pick his humans every time. He is wonderful with older kids and great with all people, does well with other dogs, and while he has not been fully tested with cats yet, when he has seen them, he hasn't paid much attention to them. Winston is cratetrained and rides calmly in the car with no issues. He is currently working on housetraining and leash skills and is making great progress. He has learned to alert that he needs to go outside by hitting a bell on the door. He isn't very vocal indoors, though he may bark briefly when first settling into his crate or if he spots other dogs outside. This affectionate boy can't wait to find a forever family who will cherish him the way he deserves.
