For the second year in a row, our rescue coonhounds have been invited to Akiba Academy in Dallas, TX in connection with their study of the classic book, Where the Red Fern Grows. This year Gail Rushing, our Dallas foster mom extraordinaire, took her rescue coonhound, Sophie, and her foster, Eleanor Rigby. As you can see from the photos, the kids loved the dogs and the feeling was mutual. Both dogs earned an "A+" with the kids and adults and the kids were almost fighting over having a chance to walk them around.
