I pulled Bella from a shelter 3 1/2 years ago and it was love at first sight. She was an amazing dog and we loved her so much. I still can't believe that she's gone; she had become such an integral part of our family so quickly.

She vomited one night and obviously didn't feel well the next day and her abdomen was tender. My vet diagnosed a perforated ulcer and she was taken in for surgery. When the vet came out a short while later, her face told the story. A large tumor was eating into the stomach wall and had been the cause of the perforation. I made the decision to let her go and said goodbye. It was the merciful thing to do, but the suddenness left the family in shock. We're thankful that she was only sick for a day.
